This boy's father died of severe sickness and his mother mother has to care for Sai's one older brother and them all in spite of poverty with very meager daily labor income. The family has not become discouraged for being alone. They live in huts with mud daubed floors. Sai is a nice healthy child, bright, though fragile in some ways. Lanka is a small village with a scanty population, but all the people’s, occupation is agriculture, the paddy is the chief crop, though there are coconut gardens.
